The NERD chair is a modern Nordic take on the iconic all-wood chair that effortlessly reflects its classic Scandinavian design heritage. The seamless integration of the NERD’s back and seat is a unique feature providing both enhanced comfort and an inviting personal look.

Lacquered ash or oak wood, felt pads on feet. Wood is PU lacquered.

With David’s design, a key technical feature of the chair is that backrest and seat are only fitted together. Each part of NERD statically interacts with the other to define a solid structure of veneer shells and parts made out of solid oak wood.

David Geckeler says that nerd, geek or crank describes the main character and design of the chair. NERD’s seat and back is made of veneer that is form-pressed into shape and assembled with solid wood legs. David’s idea was concentrate on the details and keep the moulding process to a minimum.

Cleaning instructions:
Clean on a regular basis using a damp and clean cloth. Remove stains using a mild mixture of water and detergent. Avoid contact with sharp objects as these can leave scratches in the wood and lacquer.
